A Call to Action - I Need Your Internet Love

This is a call to action. If you are reading this I need your help. To propel my career further I need as much internet exposure as possible. To achieve this I have set up several systems but all rely on you, my viewer.

At the bottom of each full blog post, photograph, and artwork page you will see a string of social bookmarking and sharing links. These are all great services that you register for free and find wonderful or interesting things on the internet. Once Registered you can click a link such as digg, write a short review of one of my articles or pieces or artwork. After you submit the review others within the system will see the review and possibly travel to the page you bookmarked, thereby driving traffic to my site.

According to Wikipedia:

In a social bookmarking system, users store lists of Internet resources that they find useful. These lists are either accessible to the public or a specific network, and other people with similar interests can view the links by category, tags, or even randomly. Some allow for privacy on a per-bookmark basis.

They also categorize their resources by the use of informally assigned, user-defined keywords or tags (see folksonomy). Most social bookmarking services allow users to search for bookmarks which are associated with given “tags”, and rank the resources by the number of users which have bookmarked them. Many social bookmarking services also have implemented algorithms to draw inferences from the tag keywords that are assigned to resources by examining the clustering of particular keywords, and the relation of keywords to one another.

Its increasing popularity and competition have extended the services to offer more than just sharing bookmarks, such as rating, commenting, the ability to import and export, add notes, reviews, email links, automatic notification, feed subscription, web annotation, create groups and social networks.

Another really cool social bookmark system is Stumbleupon. Stumbleupon is a really cool Firefox toolbar that once registered, will allow you stumble randomly to sites that have a category of your interest. Be careful, it is very addictive and you might find the best content on the internet. It’s the best content on the internet because you and others rate cool sites and pages, like this one, by giving it a thumbs up. You can give it a thumbs down, but you wouldn’t do that to me. Right?

So give me a thumbs up, write a review, and let others know about me. I can’t begin to tell you how much it helps.

What’s your stance on spam? How do you feel about people spamming web sites in search of hits?

Since I see no ads on this page maybe I will digg it.

Maybe you should digg it. Yes, I don’t have ads. My site is an advertisement for myself and my artwork.

Thanks
