New Camera, New Portfolio Tease, and July in a Nutshell
This is turning out to be the summer that never was. I blinked my eyes and now it is July 12. My recreational activities (drinking at bars doesn’t count) have been minimal. I did, however, get a round of golf in last weekend which was nice.
My posts have been pretty scarce lately for several reasons. The main reason is this website is getting a major overhaul in design, usability, and functionality. I do a little work here and there when I can, but the major hold up is design. I suck at design because I am too indecisive about every little thing. This is precisely why I am a photographer and was a ceramicist. Those mediums are far easier to complete finished pieces than painting and drawing, where I have a tendency to overwork the canvas.
A major happening is my new canon 40d digital slr camera. I’ve been out shooting as much as possible and working on new techniques that I will discuss later. The camera has some amazing functionality that will definitely up my game.
I also have a few new portfolios that will start to launch with the re-design. One portfolio will be of Black and White Nashville imagery. I haven’t make neutral and un-toned black and white prints in over 6 years. Here is a taste:

So in a nuthshell: Everything is great with my job, photography, dog, house…Time is flying by and I’m working on filling in a few missing pieces of my puzzle. All good things in all good time. Look for the new site and portfolios soon. Until then…
