New Work - The "Bookish" Series
Lately I have been trying to find niche for my work beyond the gallery venue. I like to think that my work is mysterious, enticing, and narrative. Much of it lends itself well to book and cd covers. With this project I decided to make work that, in my mind, would be perfect for book and cd covers. I called the series “Bookish”, for that reason.
All works in Bookish were created by layering several photographs and textures to create rich imagery that evokes a sense of place and time. I wanted the work to be subjective to the viewer – allowing their imagination to create the narrative. This is a concept that is often avoided by ego driven artists.
