Sunny Days and Hippies

The weather is beautiful in Nashville today. T-shirt weather in fact. With the weather comes more foot traffic which is always a blessing.

Since it is so beautiful out I decided to throw on some good old Grateful Dead. For those of you who don’t really know me I used to be a dirty hippie that followed jam bands such as Phish and the Grateful Dead.

Yes I had long hair. Yes I had Birkenstocks. Yes I smelled like patchouly. And yes, I could often be seen traveling in a Volkswagen Van.

We survived, and THAT is a wonder!

Jimmie didn’t, Janice didn’t, Jim Morrison didn’t survive…

Ah, and life is SO GOOD that I no longer wonder about ‘what a long, strange trip its been’

:D

I saw your comment on LGF 6/19 about Columbus and its large hippie contigent. I live on the edge of Indianapolis, which (as you may know) is comparable in size. But Indianapolis is a pretty meat-and-potatoes family/working town, partly because there’s nothing comparable to Ohio State here.
