Cool shots. I wish i could see the originals.

Your photoshop-fake-tilt-shift needs some work though.
This shot breaks two of the major rules.

1) Don’t shoot from under the subject. For a real ‘mini’ you could never shoot this low. Always shoot from above or level (like most of the rest of your shots, which look good).

2) It is all about depth and distance from the camera, not being high or low in the frame. Lots of your shots were off in this regard, but this one totally loses the ‘mini’ effect because the stoplight and the Bellsouth building are both in focus. If this was really a macro shot, they wouldn’t be. for that reason, these are really tough. I had a ton of shots i fought this issue with. the only one i was happy with was the scoreboard in my mini hockey rink. It isn’t an easy thing to do and i still don’t have it down.

Your photography in general is great!
Just need some work on your post/editing technique.

Oh – and for the record – yes, i am partially just jealous that your photos got featured and not mine :-)

Thanks paul. I know the mini effect is lost. I just liked the picture.
